Food was tasty and fresh, and everywhere was extremely clean. The price is a bit higher than the rest of tanah rata, but really better value for money as it tastes so nice! The staff were really friendly and knowledgeable in their recommendations (especially the chefs uncle) and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Nice atmosphere, this place really made our visit to tanah rata.

The first restaurant I ate at in Tanah Rata, was drawn in by the kitchen in the main part of the seating area, you can see the entire kitchen/food preparation area and it super clean and hygienic, much better then the dirty Indian restaurants down the road. Has a Japanese chef, his father was I think running the till, and a couple of young local girls serving.

Had a nice Japanese rice bowl and pork dish and my wife had something similar, my only regret was not eating there a second time whilst in the town. I tried other restaurants, which were disappointing. Would recommend it.

I just kept going back to this place! The service was super friendly - a group of inexperienced but incredibly eager young girls make you feel right at home. The entire restaurant is just one room, with the kitchen just a couple of benches to the side of the seating area. It feels like being in someone's home, especially given the cooking is almost entirely done by one man. As far as the food goes, I tried the sushi set, the grilled salmon and the grilled mackerel. They were all tasty home-style meals which provided a nice break from the other places in Tanah Rata which all seem to serve the exact same range of Malay and Western dishes. They are also very accommodating if you have any food allergies.
